Scions

Young plant of one year. Formation of the stem: the crown is not yet formed.

Cups

First size: formation of the main branches. Departure of the branches to 70 cm of height, between the collar and the departure of the 1st woods of the crown.

Half-Rods

Grafted in the lead (from the branches). Height of 1,40m between the collar and the departure of the 1st woods of the crown. The half-stem implies a strong rooting, for a height reaching 5 to 6m. With a circumference of 6 / 8cm to 25/30 cm.

Rods

Departure of the branches at 1,80m between the neck and the 1st woods of the crown (tree full wind).

Grafting à la carte

To maximize the chances of success of a grafting à la carte, please follow the following instructions:

  1.  Graft sampling in January / early February (frost free).
  2. Cut shoots of the year (young branches) with the diameter of a minimum Bic pen, and a minimum length of 20 cm.
  3. Ship your grafts on the day of the harvest, well labeled in your name. Please specify the desired quantity and shape of trees (cup, half stem, stem).
  4. Pack the plant material in a wet newspaper, in a closed plastic bag (eg freezer bag).

 

Delays :

Place your orders before February 15th.
The grafted trees will be available next autumn in bare roots.
